Gas

UK gas prices trended lower on Thursday, as the NBP spot price dropped by 3% to 102 p/therm, pressured by reduced demand despite the colder weather conditions in the UKThe Summer 2025 gas price declined by almost 1% to 101.92 p/therm, influenced by anticipated increases in UK storage injections.

Power

British power prices showed a slight bullish trend on Thursday, gaining nearly 0.2% to settle at 103.77, driven by declining wind generation and unseasonably low temperatures. Similarly, the Summer 2025 electricity contract made a small 0.3% gain to 82.95 GBP/MWh, influenced by a bullish UK carbon market.
